Quiz

The quiz consists of both technical and general knowledge questions.

General Rules:

  1. Only team entries are eligible.
  2. A team shall consist of max two members.
  3. Decisions of the quiz master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
  4. The participant shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic gadgets.
  5. The question shall be in the form of specific-answer question.
  6. Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
  7. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after the registration.

Rounds:

Round 1: KNOCK OUT ROUND

  • A set of 15 questions would be given as part of the elimination round.
  • Time limit- 15 minutes.
  • Only 5 teams would be selected for the final rounds.
  • In case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection.

Round 2: GENERAL AWARNESS

  • Each team would be asked 5 questions each (objective questions with options)
  • 10 marks for correct answer and 5 negative marks for wrong answer.
  • If a team cannot answer the question, they can pass the question & then the question would be forwarded to the next team.
  • Answering time is only 20 seconds.

Round 3: RAPID FIRE ROUND

  • Each teamwill be asked 10 questions in one minute time: 50 questions
  • 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer.
  • Answering time is only 3 seconds.
  • If a team cannot answer the question they can say pass for the next question. The question will not be forwarded to the next team.

Round 4: BUZZER ROUND

  • A set of 10 questions would be asked.
  • 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong or if team doesn’t answer after pressing the buzzer.
  • Answering time is only 20 seconds.

Code Geek

Code Geek is filled with competitive programming challenges made to unleash your coding skills. Are you Ready?!!!.

General Rules:

  1. Computers with adequate IDEs will be provided but participants may bring their own laptops with the necessary environmental setup.
  2. List of languages allowed includes C, C++, and Java.
  3. Use of mobile phones and internet is prohibited.
  4. The judging panels decision would be final.

Rounds:

Code Geek consists of 3 rounds and these rounds contains time constraints.

Round1:

  • In this round the participants would be given 2 problems to be solved in 5 minutes.
  • Particupants should solve both problems to pass the round 1 challenge.

Round 2:

  • In this round the participants would be given 3 problems to be solved in 10 minutes.
  • Here the participants should solve at least two of them to enter the Final Round.

Round 3:

  • In this round the participants would be given a single code challenge to be solved in 15 minutes.
  • If you can break it you are the Code Geek.

Circuit Anatomy

Electrical/ Electronic circuits diagrams with wrong wiring and components would be given to the participants. The participants are required to redraw the correct circuit diagram.

General Rules:

  1. Maximum number of students per team is 2.
  2. The selected team have to draw the circuit in a given time duration, as per the instructions provided.
  3. The decisions of the organizers will be final.
  4. The participants have to debug the given circuit in a given time constraint and to rectify them.

Lathe Master

Contestants have to perform machining operations in the lath within the given time.

General Rules:

  1. Given work piece should be machined to the required shape within the allotted time. (1 hr)
  2. Individual participation only.
  3. Machine and work pieces will be provided at the venue.
  4. The use of tools other than those given at the venue will not be allowed.
  5. Late submission of machined pieces will be rejected.
  6. Coordinators decision will be final.

Bridge It

Design a paper bridge that can hold a small weight like mobile.

General Rules:

  • A team of 2 members.
  • The bridge must be designed as per the given dimensions.
  • The bridge structure must be symmetrical.
  • The use of materials other than the ones provided is not allowed.
  • Use of paint is not allowed.
  • The bridge must carry load as per the specifications given.
  • The decision of the judges would be final.

Design Race

A photographic memory and perfect drawing skills along with a good knowledge on CAD are the makings of an efficient designer. If you are confident about your knowledge on CAD and are a pro at making virtual models, then this is the event for you.

NOTE: Make sure the CAD shortcuts are at your finger tips!

General Rules:

  1. Team members will be given 30 minutes to visualize the given room/hall.
  2. The participants are required to take a rough sketch of the given design or however they think that seems fit to remember the design.
  3. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited.
  4. Usage of scientific calculators is allowed.
  5. The participants are requested to bring their stationary kit along with them to draw the rough sketch. [NOTE: A4 sheets will be provided]
  6. Spot registration is possible.

Techathalon

It is a circuit of 5 technical obstacle course from each department that would require both skill and eccentric thinking.

General Rules:

  1. One member from each department (total of 5 members per team).
  2. The team would be formed on the spot by the organizing committee.
  3. The task and rules of each round would be given on the spot.
  4. The use of mobile phones and electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited.
  5. The decision of the organizing committee would be undisputed and final.

The best way to learn engineering is to make it a hobby. Hobbyist hub is where people with similar interests using their engineering knowledge create some games to entertain you.

Rocket launching by giving a pressure to the water.

Combino Creatia

The combined contraption by the 5 departments of our college.

Internet unveiling

It is the description of how internet works using LAN models.

Computer Servicing

It is a service station that we are setting for students who wish to get their computer repaired.

Electro Voyage

This is basically a electrical based expo which includes the display of Miniature Tesla coil, hologram etc.

FET'ERA FUN'TERA

Graffiti Challenge

A theme is given to the contestants. They have to draw on the walls provided accordingly using spray paints.

Ring Pling

Fine rings are provided to the contestants. They have to throw those rings from a distance aiming the things kept on a table. If the ring falls correctly, they can take those things.

Fast & Furious

The contestant is provided with a remote car. It should reach the destination point within the time limit.

Jackie-Chayan

The participants have to remove all the 4 wheels of a car and reassemble it within the minimum.

Insomnia BattleField

This is a LAN game involving multiple players.

Just A Minute

This event is a technical task, containing 5 levels. Each level has one minute duration and those participant completing all 5 level will be the winner.

Khajana Shikara

This game is similar to treasure hunt. The participants have to identify a person using the given clues or given software.

Globo Mania

This section consists of funny balloon games. Participants have to carefully do the various tasks given.

Blettur Hunt

Participants have to do spot games such as dub smash, commentary and tongue twisters.

Menso Champs

This section consists of puzzles and other games which is an excellent way to keep your engineering brain sharp.

FET'ERA BAZAAR

Sell it, If You Can!

This event would be challenge for the participants to sell their old / new / useless (any article) in this section. He / she can make a group, having an item to sell, he / she has to use his marketing skills to sell it. 10% of the sale would be taken by FET`ERA.

Discount Factory

This is a place where pre-selected marketers will be present. It is similar to the previous section but here the marketer would sell articles given to him. 10% of the sale would be taken by FET`ERA.

FET'ERA Jackpot

A simple lottery system that would run that day. Ticket cost would be 10/- and the winner would get half of the total money and runner up would get 25% of it.

Ashwamedham

Similar to old TV contest. In this person selling the item will not disclose the item, instead he would give the buyer a chance to ask 5 questions about the item and if the customer is able to guess the item, he can take it free. Else he loses. The registration fees would be 20/-.

Best Management Team

The best management team among the 4 zones would be awarded a prize. Purely internal contest.

Best Marketer Tag

The best marketer would be selected and given a prize money based on feedback.
